is it true that 1.7.7.1 has a know time sync bug?

I am a server admin who is on 1.7.7.1

 

I have a 4 hour reset starting time at 1700.

 

time moves forward, but if you die, when you respawn you come back to around 17:35 (5:35PM)

 

I contacted my server provider and they claimed, its a known bug with 1.7.7.1

 

is this true?

You should update and check if it's still a problem. I had a problem like that on a 1.7.7.1 server, but the admin was somehow able to fix it
