Server is showing as offline, eventhough my friends are playing on it.

I can't join this specific server via DayZ Commander, or the actual ARMA Client itself, not sure why, I'm on the friends page of DayZ Commander and it shows my friends playing on it, however when I go to join it just leaves me at WAITING FOR HOST.

Do you have any IP blacklist or any security program using such a feature? For example, many antivirus progs use ip blacklists, mbam surely does and quite aggressively - while filtering servers in dayz commander it blocks numerous entries, peerblock, spybot adds lots of entries in hosts file, and many others. Check if something like that blocks the IP of the server you are trying to join.

 

For starters you should try pinging said server.

I tryed that and it says request timed out.
