ballistic vest conditions, repairs and downfalls

Recommended Posts

as see in yesterdays devblog, item basically have degrading states. Its still early but things that COULD be overseen.

HOW IT IS NOW

1.bullet hits a location degrades whole item

2.bullet travels through ballistic materials when any part of it is damaged

3.whole item is degraded and unfixible

SUGGESTIONS

1.when a certian location on clothing, vest, gun, boot or helmet is damaged only that immedieate area is damaged, if a ballistic vest is shot only the entry point of the round and small area around it is damaged but unless part is repaired after extended use of damaged item area around it degrades as well after a long time of use equiptment is useless.

2.ballistic vest could be good or bad, can protect the first few shots but a round that gets through could do less damage but get stuck inside player resulting in health loss over time and will further hurt the player until shat out if it stops in stomach, intestine, ect. or until surgically removed. Both options heavily hurting the player, the first making it hard to walk.

3.if a ballistic vest is shot and the plate that deflects the bullet is damaged, a spare plate or  any makeshift fitting item could be used to replace it.

Its a good idea, but doing this would mean that they'd have to go through the hundreds of clothing items, change the properties of them so that instead of it being one whole part, it is dividied into lots of little different parts.

Too hard to implement.

This is a col idea but like Statik said, it would be very hard to implement I think.

they would only need to do it for every SHAPE of clothing. two long sleve shirts only have diffrent textures.

that would cut the time it took to at least 1/4th if they did it all seperatley (in my opinion in not a codeing genius)

It would take too long to implement? Really? Well its gonna take too long to add zombies so lets just not implement them ok? ok. That logic doesnt work
