Proper way to upgrade from old beta version to latest beta release?

I keep seeing conflicting information about installing the Arma 2 Beta patch. Most of the tips/guides I have seen only cover installing the beta for the FIRST time. Other posts I have seen say to uninstall an old beta version before installing a newer one (yet the beta notes say it CANNOT be uninstalled).

I'm a bit hesitant to just install the new beta over top of the old one but I also dont want to reinstall the whole game if it's not necessary to do so.

Sorry for my confusion here but could anyone clarify this for me?

Just delete the "beta" folder from the "arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion" folder, and install the latest patch. Has always worked flawlessly for me. :)

I never really understood the warning about not being able to uninstall the beta separately anyway.
