Letter from HFB of the emergency migration.  Apologies to all the players and hopefully they come back.  Your gear is still all there.

Hello

You are receiving this email as an alert.
Due to recent network issues with the Datacenter your server is located in we have chosen to conduct an emergency migration of your server to a new node located in an alternative Datacenter (same location). We understand that this is short notice but due to the severity of the network issues we felt it was a required action.

Your server will be migrated within 6 hours of this email. While your server is migrating it will show as "unknown" in the control panel. Once the migration is finished it will show as either "running" or "stopped" once it is in that state you should be good to start your server (if it is not running already).

Regards

Shameless plug.

Vanilla server which use to have a low to moderate regular player base.  Server is still up and running just moved to a different IP (out of my control).  Hope you guys find the server again.

Of course new folks are welcome.

Ameo,

Not exactly sure what you mean.  HFB hosts my server.   They had issues with the original box so I guess they swapped boxes.  If there was anything to be done to synchronize with the hive HFB must have did it at their end.   I didn't know they white listed based on IP.

Cheers,

It is a public hive server.  Sorry my previous statement was misleading.  What I meant to say was: I would have thought that HFB would have coordinated with the public hive with respect to white listing IPs (assuming this is necessary).  I actually don't know if HFB did anything beyond moving files over from one box to another.

In the end it's still part of the hive which is the main importance.  A small annoyance that a lot of the regulars will need some time to find the server again.

Ok, so only HFB do a server re-whitelist and only for their server (If I understood well, they host the Hive).

Cause we lost a Vilayer server by changing the server ip address (Vilayer needed to move it), and we was a bit angry ;)

So I was suprised by your thread for that reason.

Thx for the replies.
