Kimbo Slice 0 Posted August 28, 2013 Hi, I've never played a pc game before, but I would really like to play DayZ. Without sounding too stupid how exactly would I go about downloading the game? I am hoping to play the game on my laptop, which is a fairly new HP Pavilion. Would DayZ even run on this laptop? Would appreciate any help, thanks.
Jordan* 277 Posted August 28, 2013 Before the mods get in here and rip you to shreds, 1. Need the specs, HP Pavilion doesnt tell us anything. 2. To play this mod, you need Arma 2 and Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead. Both of which are available on Steam as Arma 2: Combine Ops.After you have bought/installed these, go to http://www.dayzcommander.com/ and download that. That application will let you EASILY get all the DayZ mods and Arma betas.

Korsbaek 1778 Posted August 28, 2013 specs - HP Pavilion 17-e031sa Laptop, Intel Core i3, 2.4GHz, 8GB RAM, 1TB. Nope. That won't run it. Nearly all laptops have problems running it.I'm pretty sure you won't be running it on a laptop without an i7 and a GTX card.

Mos1ey 6301 Posted August 28, 2013 (edited) i5 can run it fine Most mobile i5s are dual-cores and will really struggle to run ArmA 2 and DayZ mod. @OP - if you have any more questions about your laptop, please use the 'Can I Run DayZ?' topic, which you can find here...http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/145679-can-i-run-dayz/ Locked.
