DONT GET FRUSTRATED!

this is a alpha. its not very stable and it will have a ton of bugs and glitches. sometimes it will not even connect you to a server. THIS IS NORMAL.

this mod (in my mind) probably wont reliable until arma 3 is rolling around the corner. its quite a big mod, so there is alot of troubleshooting involved. so dont rage quit, dont give up.

if your new to the game, and this mod just isint working for you when you boot it up. come here, go in the "troubleshooting" section and see if your not the only one having the same problem. and if you cant find the same problem, post about it in the bug section! and go play some regular arma 2 in the mean time! its quite the fun game!

and yes i know this is obvious to some, but maybe not to others!

Indeed.

People who are buying Arma 2 just for DayZ need to realise that it's just an alpha mod that's still a long way from being polished and complete.

Too many seem to think they're entitled to complain about the current state of DayZ as if they're paying customers. They're not. What they've bought is Arma 2, not a product called 'DayZ'.
