Weird fog/glow/blur in the distance

Recommended Posts

I just re-installed DayZ recently to play again. I noticed this weird hazy blur on things in the distance and couldn't remember it ever being in the game previously.

Is this something you have noticed? Is it something to do with a recent version? I think it looks really ugly and am trying to find out what it is.

I've never seen that before, what are your graphic settings?

Drivers up to date etc.?

Your game is haunted bro...

(check your settings.  make sure everything is the way its suppose to be.  Adjust the render distance a bit too.)

Yes driver is up to date.

There was mention of increasing render distance. There is no such setting, only "Visibility" which doesn't fix the issue.

My video card is a GTX 670. I never had this issue back when I played in 2012 on this same system.

Ok, so far it seems I have fixed this issue. I turned Ambient Occlusion setting in Nvidia control panel off for Arma 2 and Operation Arrowhead.
