DayZ map in ios app

I'm trying to teach myself how to create ios apps.:huh: I would like to create one that has a map of Chernarus with loot locations. First of all is this something that the developers frown upon:@? (I don't want to piss of the creators of my new favourite mod!). Second of all, where in the game client can I find the map of Chernarus as well as loot drop %'s? I realize there are already maps like this available online but for me this is a learning exercise and a chance to contribute to the coolest game I've played in a long time. Any advice is welcome and if this sort of thing pisses off the devs then I'll choose a different project:angel:.

Why would you need an ios app when theyre aloads of maps of chernarus with loot locations or barebones?

An ios map isn't "needed" but it's something I would like to do as a learning exercise.
