I came up with an idea for the study body system.

Recommended Posts

I was watching reruns of the Walking dead, and the scene where Rick reads the ID card of a zed they skull smashed made be think. "Wow, that would be great in DayZ for ID'ing dead bodys"

Then i got my lazy butt off the couch and moved to my desktop and made this mock up of what i had floating in my head. post-114935-0-95819500-1376319527_thumb.

Yeah i know should be in russian for realism but the only language i know is english ("merica") and enough spanish to order food at taco bell.

Thoughts?

I like it, but I'd like it so not everyone was carrying an ID card. Maybe it's like, an item you start with and then you can choose to chuck it or something?

edit; also, if an ID card has your D.O.B. on it, you won't need the age field ;) but I know what you mean - maybe it could indicate the amount of time you've survived!

The player character already has his journal. I would prefer that over an ID card.

After all, I believe it is part of the game's mythos that the player characters are not originally from Chernarus.

The journal just needs to be worked so that other players can loot or read it off from a corpse.

Also some customisable pages for the journal would be good, if the looter wants to get into the victim's mindset while browsing through the journal.

But a good idea from you, don't mean to shut it down.

If it's going to be Chernarussian, you're going to have to write it in Czech. Also, props for recognizing that we're in a province, and not the full country. The ignorant ones usually leave that out.

I beileve that the player can actually choose in RP that they're from Chernarus, Imean, does it really make sense to have a crap ton of Yankee doodles, brits and the odd Irish fella chucked in?

I suggested this before and it was under criticism and yet, when someone else suggests this, it turns out to be a good idea :P

Why not have the ID card just appear on you when you die so no inventory space wasted.  I like the ideal.  It let you know who your looking at.

Library card.

I don't think my DayZ character could get his drivers license with the amount of rubble and shit I run into on the road XD
