Arma II freezing when Internet is on

The issue I'm having with Arma II is that whenever my internet is turned off, it runs as smooth as a babies bottom, but when the internet is turned on and I start up Arma II it freezes every two seconds and then comes back after about two minutes, then does it again. I'm running it on steam, my Specs are better than the recommended, I've let it through my firewall. Nothing seems to do the trick to get it to work while my internet is on.

I've been playing it online for about three or four months before this started happening, so I don't understand what is happening.

I don't even get into a game, but when I did play, my ping was 20 - 50
