I was wondering if dayZ requires a not so good pc to play the game than arma 3? does arma 3 require a better to pc to actually play good or does dayZ require a better pc? which game can be run better? dayz or arma 3?

i would say arma 3 requires better due to it loking alot nicer and such, dayz has been out a while but the development of these games lack because people dont get the fps they want due to coding etc, but dean hall said that on Dayz Standalone he has optimized it to give us more fps which is good.

Arma 2 (needed to play DayZ) is very CPU intense. A good CPU is needed for both.

A medium end graphics card will do Arma 2 nicEly but with Arma 3, I'm not so sure.

At least 4GB of RAM should help too.

Dayz at the moment is a mod for Arma 2 but Dayz will be it's own game within time and they have made it give the player more fps while playing.

Try looking on Can I Run It ? and search for ArmA 2 or Operation Arrowhead.

If you can play them, you can play the Dayz mod

You have to buy DayZ Standalone regardless if you bought ARMA or not.

Arma 2 is a great game as well, definitely worth it but, if you're saving for the standalone, I'd wait.

We don't know a confirmed price but I'm estimating it will be around $15-$20. Your FPS depends on your specs. As DayZ is a multiplayer mod, you will get less FPS than playing singleplayer. Your more likely going to have more FPS playing A2 than A3.

ArmA 3 ran much better on my machine than the DayZ mod, even though it has better graphics IMHO.

my cpu is inter core quad cpu q8300 2.50GH'z is it fine?? i get a score of 7 in the Dayz system req.

Hmm. It should run A3. But you're best off confirming with someone else.

 

If you can run A2, you should be able to run A3.

You'll probably get lower FPS in DayZ mod than in ARMA 3. I can run ARMA 3 multiplayer completely maxed out with 60 FPS constant, in ARMA 2 DayZ mod I have to drop a few settings and still drop down to 50 FPS sometimes.

I can run Arma 3 fairly well even with tons of explosions and gun fire going off.  However I'm lucky to even get the same frames in DayZ when I'm just walking around than when I'm in a firefight in Arma 3.
