Help. cant find weapon = cant survive!

Hi.

can anybody help me. im new to day-z. ive seen gameplay videos with players spawning with weapons and food. and im informed that the recent patch removed weapons when spawning. so i gues you have to find them for yourself. but now i have died like 7 times without finding a weapon or any food. theres i no way i can survive.

plz help! what am i doin wrong :(

ive got the exact same problem, just got dayz today (started playing at 3am, NOT smart) died 3 times of hunger. Admins, atleast bring back the starting with food. weapons are debateable, but we need food to start out with. just enough until we can find some more
