Night time on server: Darkness for my friends but not for me?

Recommended Posts

A brief question regarding night time as I couldn't track this in the search and google hasn't really brought me the answer either.

When darkness falls on my server, my friends have the usual night experience, however I don't. I have the feeling this has something to do with me hosting the server and playing on the same machine. No matter I relog, restart server or anything else, my character clock (when pressing O) shows/resets to 7:02 (am/pm?) every time. My friends are unaffected and experience the true time on the server.

Was wondering if more people noticed this and if so, is there a solution for it? It almost feels like cheating when I can see everything normal and my friends rely on their flashlight and carlights.

According to DayZCommander:

DayZ Version is 1.7.7.1

Arma2 is 106400

Hosting my own server using DayZ Control Center 5.9.3.1 (hotfix)

im not sure about the server time, but graphics options can change alot
brightness and gamma help abit, but if you turn your HDR quality up, it makes a massive difference and when combined with an slightly improved brightness and gamma, can make it easy to see in the dark.  so check your HDR settings with your friends, its under the advanced part of the graphics options
