Zombie Attack Paths

It's a little frustrating that zed's will run in zig-zag paths and teleport around while attacking you, and makes them even more of a challenge to deal with if you have the firepower to drop them. It almost seems as if they know that my crosshairs are pointed at them and they make an effort to get out of the way, which doesn't really seem like what a zombie would do in any definition of the term "zombie".

Is there any ETA or any plans to make them do more of a straight run at your character once they agro rather than dance and blink around your character? Or rather, is it a limitation of the Arma II engine that enemy AI always avoids crosshairs?
