Starting Items

Have the items you're supposed to start with changed recently? I thought you where supposed to start with a pistol, some food/water and basic med supplies.

All I am ever getting when I start out is a flashlight a bandage some painkillers and a bag.

Did they change it recently or is it bugged atm?

yes they changed it that way to discourage pvp between starters.

I still think you should spawn with a water bottle or canteen.

#2 Everybody knows about the map.

You basically have to get lucky, find a loot area without zombies.
