Cannot update beta patch + another problem.

Recommended Posts

After a period of about 8 months or so of not playing DayZ, I decided to download the latest patches etc and test out the new breaking point mod everyone is into nowadays and see if i would still get wrecked by artifacts etc...

So after installing everything correctly and after trying to enter a normal DayZ mod server, I become stuck in the old "tank loading screen" rather than the DayZ specific screen I remember. Then I end up stuck at "waiting for character to create" with a non-moving loading bar.

After trying to enter a breaking point server, I received the simple error: "you cannot play/edit this mission. it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted" then it lists a lot of gun and item files. I followed the best guides on how to install breakingpoint and I figure all of the other issues I'm having have led up to this error.

Another issue: My DayZ Commander only says that the latest patch  is 103718, while the online beta patch lists 108074. When i try to install this latest patch from a browser, I run it and then i get an "invalid CD key error". But here's the thing... I've followed FORUM MODERATOR guides, including these actions: running Steam as an ADMIN, reinstalling both Arma 2, and Arma 2 OA, making sure I have the correct expansions selected under OA, and running each individually. In the end, I receive the same error and probably end up worse off with fragmented files etc.

Aside from all of these issues, I have done all of the little things such as setting the correct Target for the OA.exe file, etc..

I know that I have a lot of stupid problems but hopefully someone can help.

Nvm I'll probably just wait until standalone. Not worth it.
