Custom vehicles explode on my server! Help?

Hi, my friends and I recently all chipped in to purchase a DayZ.ST server and we ran into a rather annoying issue. We wanted to build a base, so I followed this tutorial for custom vehicles and buildings:

Now all the buildings and stuff work perfect. But when I got to get in say, my M1A2 or Harrier, they instantly explode when I get in. So I did some searching and I found on another site that I need to replace some things in the server_cleanup with some different things. When you did all that, all you had to do was repack it and launch the server.  Problem is, when I do that I get stuck at a black screen that says "loading" and nothing else. It never goes away and the only way to get out of it is to task manager ArmA 2 OA. Can anyone help me out? I'd like to use all the vehicles I placed :)

 

P.S. No I'm not using RMod. All the RMod vehicles suck as the AH-64 and MI-24 work fine when I spawn them via Dayz.ST control panel. Also, I know how to restore the server back to it's original state so I no longer get the black loading screen so thats not an issue.

i think you also have to change something in objectupdate.sqf. could be wrong though.

I don't even know where that is lol. Is it within the DayZ server PBO? Even though I don't know what to do with it, it would be nice to know where it is.

You need to change your anti-cheat to allow non-DZ Database items into the game. It's somewhere in your Mysql's or some RTP-related file and it should say something like (and I'm not making this up), "Parachute -something- spawned at (coordinates), killing hacker..." and you have to replace that and a related line with a script exception for your custom vehicles.

 

At least, that's the only way I could get Sergeant's AI-spawned bandit helicopter patrols to work... which was all wasted effort, because the AI helicopters were awful; they couldn't be shot down or really hurt anyone.

Are you adding the vehicles via the editor ? that is why they blow up, you must add them through the database.

 

 

You need to change your anti-cheat to allow non-DZ Database items into the game. Did you change their skill setting Applejaxc ? on our old server (no longer running) we had Rmod and upped their skill and gave them an apache :o they were shit hot and great fun

I believe that is correct... I haven't ran my server in weeks.

 

And yeah, I tried all kinds of things. The AI had a .71 skill rating in their prime, a lot of assault and sniper rifles, and spawned in DayZ-approved cars, but I didn't give them apaches... They had to use UH60s and the Mi helicopters. The only crazy things I ever did were make the leader of an AI bandit group have x3 as much health as a player and let Ai spawn in A10 airplanes. The A10s were mostly harmless buzzards that circled the map, but I managed to hit 2 with AS50s (I know. I'm that good) and that seemed to piss them off; one A10 did a bombing run on Elektrozavodsk that leveled the TECO (or whatever) building and one of the hospitals. The other did a strafe on me in the forest and hit a tree, killing itself.

Yeah I did it exactly like that video. I went into that server cleanup and was told to delete "killing a hacker" or something along those lines because that's what triggers the explosion. I've tried placing a custom vehicle like an M1A2 through the DayZ.ST control panel but it doesn't show up.

You shouldn't ever remove that line, add new rules but not remove, you've left the server vunerable to scripters now :(

Vehicles must have a database entry, it records the damage, inventory and most importantly the coordinates, you can't get away with adding banned vehicles this way as the ban list of vehicles are client side.

Dayz.st does allow you to add many extra vehicles that other hosts can't, there was once a list on opendayz.net listing them all if you search.

Yeah it's back to default now though. It just sent me to that loading screen when I deleted that hacker thing. But I checked on openDayZ.net and from what I've found I can do it with MySQL and Navicat. So I installed both (Note I installed MySQL from oracle and some sort of DayZ recommended one because if there is one I can't find it) and watched this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2mwKsBDMkYY    and everything that popped up for me didnt pop up at all. Update: I got it to work!!! I tried one last time to spawn the banned vehicles from the Control Panel on DayZ.ST and it finally worked! It never worked before for some reason. All the vehicles are driveable as well so I'm quite happy  :DD
