Question about leaderboard

So I've been looking at the leaderboard and I'm trying to find out how the time you lived so far is counted. I can see from my stats that about 10 hours are missing from my ingame time :) and guessing there is someway the system sets you to afk and stop counting time... or is there other reasons for my lower time? - changes name at one time of my toon if that have an effect :)

Just curious and hope some one could tell me ;)
