wellsie514 0 Posted July 30, 2013 (edited) Stuck on wait For host screen for ever. Tried the following:Reinstalled arma 2 and arma 2 oareinstalled latest arma oa patchreinstalled dayzeroclear mpcashe folderreinstalled battleye, It updates, restarts, and continues as it shouldfor giggles I restarted my computer Launching through DayZ Commander and Play With Six and steam (with path sent to dayzero + beta patch) I've also tried manually installing Honestly, I've been browsing for days and troubleshooting for hours on end is getting old. I heard DayZero is worth it though! Hehe Any ideas? Any help is appreciated! Also worth noting: DayZero admins are clueless. No response from their forums and their webchat support is next to useless. They get an A for effort though. Edited July 30, 2013 by The Common Fear
DayzSandBox 157 Posted July 30, 2013 Assuming u are using the right version of DayZero as well as the right version of the beta-patch as well, It could easily have to do with the server issues this weekend. DayZero servers are being attacked. Also any and all launchparametres should be kept in steam. If you followed the detailed instructions on installing and whitelisting, there is still the odd router which do not speak Arma, Try the BI forums for similar issues. Dwarden has written som posts on the issue.
Statik (DayZ) 2695 Posted July 30, 2013 How long are you waiting? I have seen problems like this in the past (not with DayZero) where peoples "forever" is 30 seconds. Before you join make sure the server is fully up and running (i.e. not restarting) and then launch. When you get the waiting for host screen, go get a drink, take a piss, get a snack, let the dog out, etc, etc. Just give it up to 5 minutes. If you're still stuck relaunch the game and try again. If you're still having problems, then I don't know, I guess DayZero dungoofed.I randomly get stuck on blackscreen when loading in sometimes. DayZero seems to be a bit buggy when it comes getting in. DayzSandBox 157 Posted July 30, 2013 (edited) http://zombies.nu/community/threads/2286/ The "easy" way is to just play/activate/deactivate through OA, making sure that the normal DayZ is not involved.ie use the in-game modhandler. http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma2:_Startup_Parameters If u have a version other than steam, the make a separate shortcut on the desktop with the parametres relating to DayZero. You may already know this, but I am unsure how much u know. Also I looked around a bit for the router that was mentioned, didn't find anything. I am relatively certain startup parameters are correct. I have no reason to believe otherwise (Despite the problem persisting)
PK Richie 507 Posted July 30, 2013 DayZero requires you be whitelisted and have the password for the servers.Any servers without them requirements are unofficial and most likely why you have issues.
