Varadain 3 Posted July 28, 2013 So I am aware that alot of it is mostly due to Arma 2 and that the mod is not very optimized. But I am curious about the feedback I can get about the hardware I am using and see if theres any suggestion on upgrades or anything that could increase framerate stability.I currently get these framesOutside of towns - 45 - 55 FPSSmall towns - 30 - 40 FPSLarge towns - 20 - 30 FPS Now I am aware that these are pretty good but being OCD and noticing this and also having a desire to stream I wanted to ask people with more knowledge than I what I could do to push more performance.I am currently running RAMdisk and have optimized my settings. The hardware I am running is;With newegg linksWindows 7 ProProcessor - AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition Thuban 3.3GHz, 3.7GHz Turbo Socket http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16819103913 Motherboard - MSI 890FXA-GD65 AM3 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16813130565Graphics Card - SAPPHIRE 100355-1GOCL Radeon HD 7850 1GBhttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202004&nm_mc=TEMC-RMA-Approvel&cm_mmc=TEMC-RMA-Approvel-_-Content-_-text-_- Ram - CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233299 Harddrive- Seagate Barracuda ST31000524AS 1TB 7200 RPM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148697&nm_mc=TEMC-RMA-Approvel&cm_mmc=TEMC-RMA-Approvel-_-Content-_-text-_- Any advice would be very welcome and I appreciate the time anyone takes to respond to this. barrett_killz 229 Posted July 28, 2013 Your CPU is making high results on benchmarks so don't worry about it. Anything above 30 FPS is very normal in ArmA 2.
applejaxc 2500 Posted July 28, 2013 Streaming has never taken more than 2-3 frames off of my game. My only Stream complaints have been audio-related, because I don't know how to mess with a sound board.
Varadain 3 Posted July 29, 2013 Your CPU is making high results on benchmarks so don't worry about it. Anything above 30 FPS is very normal in ArmA 2. Is there any specific reason that the cities make it drop so substantially and that I could perhaps bump it to 40 - 45. It gets pretty bad and makes it hard to handle high stress situations at 20 frames.
