Recommended Posts

i have a serious problem i just purchased dayz and playd it for a couple of days.

At first i had no problem but the last day dayz started freezing and crashing during gameplay.

My computer should be able to handle dayz. i just get a screen full of bars or a black screen. And i cannot do anything except hitting my powerbutton.

The strange thing is sounds keeps working i can hear everybody talking in side chat.

i have tried a lot but nothing seems to work does anyone, i hope someone could help me.

It happens after about 5 minutes of gamplay and it also happens when i want to pick something up.

overheating? (probably not but that's what I assume when I see "black bars")

Overheating would be my first guess too. Download a couple of progs, coretemp, gpuz, cpuz, openhardwaremonitor (my personal preference), and keep an eye on temps, both cpu and gpu. Did it get suddenly hot where you live? Is there a heat wave? That could explain why it used to work fine but now it's not. Also try playing with the pc case open and having a large fan blowing into it, to see if it'll keep crashing.

Buy a new graphics card, underclock your current one, buy a better HDD, also more clarity would be nice.

Your PC could be overheating or over-volted. Judging by the sound of things, your PC won't be needing more than 450 watts of power. If you have a 600+ PSU it could be causing problems.

Download MSI afterburner, check the temp log consistently in 5-10 minute intervals. If your temps are above 80 at any time that's not stable.
