Connecting too a server.

I downloaded Arma 2, OA and the DayZ Mod off steam today. I've installed it all and run each game once as my friend recommended me too I downloaded the Day Z commander and ran it, everything is up to date according too the commander as well. Only problem is when I try to load a  DayZ server the loading bar loads fully, up until the part where it starts counting up in number (I'm guessing too 100) then it just freezes I've tried this several times now and it's frozen on every occasion.

 

I was wondering if this was a common problem with an easy fix and if someone could point me in the right direction.

What is your ping like...high, over 500 or low under 100?

I get around 130, it's okay now though my friend came over to my house and sorted me out :)
