SaveMeJebus 164 Posted July 23, 2013 What do you mean lately? Was your FPS better before? If not I'd assume your cpu is bottlenecking your system unless I looked up the wrong specs for it. Arma2 is a pretty CPU heavy game and the clock speed on the CPU you have is only like 2.6(?). I know the one thing I did that helped the most was to use the -winxp startup parameter and make my system force directX 9, this game taxes my CPU and its a 3.5ghz clock speed quad core. Skypill 399 Posted July 23, 2013 Unfortunately Arma 2 is a badly optimized game and many people with high spec systems have fps problems whilst some people with relatively low spec pcs can run it just fine. I would reccomend to try and update your drivers etc. and then just play it at the settings you get the best fps at. (That may take a bit of tweaking. Hockeyguy 107 Posted July 23, 2013 I have no idea why you would be lagging on DayZ. The only think I can think of is that you either have a slow hard drive or dont have much memory left on your PC

The only think I can think of is that you either have a slow hard drive or dont have much memory left on your PCMy HDD speed is about 88mbs, is there something I can do? I run 3 hdds on my pc my hdd with windows does not have much room left about 5 gigs but the hdd with the game has like 100. is playing the game off another hdd slowing it down? should I get a new HDD? Replies are appreciated :) Thanks!

I have no idea what to do in BIOS and I don't know if my setup could do it. If I found someone to help I might be able to. Thinking about OC'ing my ram and cpu.
