matthy 0 Posted July 20, 2013 Greetings,I am experiencing heavy lag, especially on crowded servers. When there are 5 people online i get around 10-20 fps, which is very low, I know. But when there are like 40 people online, it's not even worth trying (max 5fps). I'm playing it all down to the lowest settings. I don't really get this because my PC isn't really that bad.My Specs are:OS: Win7 64bitCPU: AMD Phenom II X4 940, at 3 GHzGraphics: ATI Radeon HD 5870Samsung SSD 840 ProRAM: 4GB DDR3any suggestions? PK Richie 507 Posted July 20, 2013 Find a better server :)Most game hosts have stupid amounts of games running from 1 server, that and the fact that now every server is heavily modded makes things unplayable :( Most game hosts used to have 40 slot limits, then it went to 50 and now 60 seems the norm. Find your favorite server Here and then see how many others are being played, i'll bet it's well over 20 Yeah, that was one thing I noticed, switching Servers helps a little, but not much :(The best I can get on an empty Server without loads of mods and with an Ping just below 25 is hardly 30 fps, but as soon as I enter a city or more than 5 Zombies are around I'm back at my 15fps.But thanks a lot for the link I will try finding a server there ;) Edited July 20, 2013 by matthy Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
applejaxc 2500 Posted July 20, 2013 Lowering the resolution will NOT change your FPS... if you're talking about the value that has the (100%) or (87%) or whatever. I play at 1280x720 for recording reasons and I tend to get better doing that than native resolution (1366x768). Just drop everything to its lowest graphic settings... which is a cheaty way to be able to stop enemies at long range, by the way. But shhh... Your graphics card seems to be kind of weak... as far as I know. I'm not a Radeon person. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
