campaign scenario

How about a campaign game scenario option? All spawn points spawn ONE time at the start of the campaign. The gear on Day 0 is all the gear there ever is. New player spawns locked after the first 24 hours. If you do not spawn in for at least 1 hour during a 24 hour period, your hunger and thirst drop by 1/4. Dead bodies (and gear on them, remain in place til looted). One life and you're out. Last survivor standing "wins".

single player option that is not affiliated with multiplayer whatsoever sure.

but lets release the SA and see what happens first.

I don't think we should be planning "custom game modes" for a game that is yet to be released.

Problem with such a campaign is that there needs to be some kind of goal more than just surviving. Players that are really interessted in "winning" will just sit in the woods drinking coffee. The first hours will be thrilling, because everyone wants to have his piece of the big loot-cake and there will be some intense fighting over it, but later on there will be the fittest/luckiest left with full equipment...what are they going to do?
