Where to find guns

I despertly need help i have died so many times i sneak ever where and cant find any weapons just ammo any tips or where to find guns at would help

heres what I've been doing lately, works well.

Go to this link, it's a map. http://dayzdb.com/map

when you spawn go along the coast to the nearest town, figure out where you are on the map.

Look for high value greens (barns or farm places), those will provide you with shotguns, crossbows, simple rifles.

I guess you can try to hit reds and high value reds (military) but shits probably risky

I use http://www.teamfackin.com/moocow/dayz/map/ and I get all my guns from barns and deer stands. Deer stands are a bit more rare to have weapons due to people looting them. Each barn I've checked though, I've gotten a Winchester, a shotgun, and a hatchet. I choose the Winchester each time though XD. Maybe the map above is better, maybe not. I'll have to check it out.
