What to upgrade?

Recommended Posts

Hi, I installed Arma 2 free today with the intentions of installing CO and then Day Z.

My laptop, which I understand is not ideal could not handle even the free version, not a single bit!

This is the laptop which I have; http://www.pcpro.co.uk/reviews/laptops/364555/hp-g72

I attempted to play the game with everything turned down to 'low', 'very low' or 'disabled' and my laptop could BARELY handle that!

So if somebody could please tell me if there's any way I could upgrade my laptop to handle the game, and roughly how much these components would cost? I would be extremely greatful!

I've been watching Frankie's videos, and it makes me wanna play the games so bad! :D

I apologise if this is a daft question, or somebody has posted before, I just thought you guys help.

Many thanks.

Processor and Ram are ok, but there is no graphics card with it, that's your issue.

Thank you for the reply.

Is there a moderately cheap graphics card you could recommend for my laptop?

Also, would a graphics card help overall performance?

Having an Intel processor in a laptop, you probably have an integrated graphics card. Unfortunately, you cannot upgrade these, as they are, as the name suggest, integrated. You would be better off buying a new gaming laptop, or building your own desktop.

Ah rats! Would an intel processor definitely mean it's integrated and therefore cannot be upgraded?

:(

No' date=' it doesn't definitely mean that. Intel does have a lot of processors. What leads me to believe that it [i']is integrated is the fact that it is a laptop. Most laptops, unless made specifically for gaming, have integrated cards.
