Assault Rifles

So I have been playing a lot of day z lately and have come across several assault rifles including AKM, M16A2, AK74 (Kobra and not), and the AKS74U.

In my opinion this is the differences;

AKM-Common, longer range and stronger

M16A2-Rare-ish, longer range, great for PVP (self defense of course:D)

AK74-Moderately common, medium range, medium damage

-"Kobra" version need a second to render shape?

AKS74U-Rare, short-medium range, good for unplanned inter-city encounters (finding a hostile survivor whilst looting)

What are your opinions on these (and other) assault rifles at the moment? Gotta say right now i'm loving the M16A2...

I liked the M16A2 until I got the M203 version. The grenade sight on it is actually more of a pain that anything else.

The AKs are okay, but I have always disliked the bar with the V-wedge for an iron sight. Had a Kobra once, but lacked any ammo for it. Wish I could have found some.

Great thing about the AK line is that, excluding the AKM, they all use the same ammo.

Same can be said about the M4A1, M4A1 CCO, M4A3 CCO, M16A2, M16A2 M203, M4 Holo M203, L85 AWS, M249.

But yes the M16 w/ M203 is terrible for iron sights because the nade launcher scope is always up.

AKM is better for PVP really than most 'commonly found' AR's, but the irons are horrible on it.

AKM seems to be quite good, with a built in range adjustment. Quite good for popping off players at distance.

I took out about 9 players or so north cherno fire stations sitting on the opposite hill. Unfortunately it's a loud bugger because about 5-10 zombies aggrod from I'd estimate 100m or more in opposite direction.
