Dynamic zombie aggro

Recommended Posts

I really like the idea behind the new zombie AI, but as of now, loosing zombie aggro feels kind of easy: After disappearing from LOS of a zombie for a set period of time, the zombie seems to go back to base-line de-aggro. This makes it easy to sprint through a town and lose the zombie aggro by running into a couple of houses.

My suggestion is a more dynamic aggro-behaviour: After losing aggro, the zombie would be in an alerted state, where LOS and hearing is dramatically increased. This will create a player incentive to avoid zombie aggro, while still maintaining the possibility of outsneaking aggroed zombies.

What are your thoughts on this?
