The Goldfish Bowl - Day Z Epoch Server

• Active server community steadily building more players
• Basic Role Play (not enforced) - invent your character and journal your adventures ont eh server. Alternatively join one of our existing factions/teams such as the criminal gangs "The Firm" and "TAFD" or the militant law enforcement marshalls "Second Mass PD" as well as many otehr trader, medic etc groups.
• Strong emphasis on survival/trading but also a lot of PvP - especially for groups!
• 270+ Dynamically spawning basic vehicles. Mostly basic cars for transport but occasionally something more special can be found!
• Base building active and working - some basic compunds and fortresses have been added and scattered around the map to be found and secured by teams. Not to mention the teams that already have secured a camp!
• Dogs enabled - get yourself a dog companion, ala I am Legend!
• in-game currency - earn gold, silver, copper, tin and aluminium by selling and trading ANYTHING you loot.
• Trader cities and wholesalers across the map for selling unwanted loot and buying kit you do want! These are NOT secured in anyway and are dangerous places though!
• Personal safes available!
• Basic starting loadout (makarov, 3 mags & 2 bandages) - No pay to win load outs and no doantion benefits!!
• Minimal custom buildings, just enough to add a few nice and exciting loot areas accross the map!
• Minimal choppers - Choppers generally have to be bought. Play Day Z how it was meant to be played with just a handful of choppers. Once you can afford a chopper you need to value it!
• Day & Night Cycle
• No admin restricted areas or protected bases!
• No admin abuse! Our moderators do NOT have access to admin panels or in-game maps/exploits!
• Additional weapons and vehicles unlocked and added to trader system including previously unavailable weapons!
• Custom ambushes and choke points - become an infamous highwayman robbing travellers of their gold!
• Lots of newly formed "crews " - small teams of members fighting it out, including "The Firm", "The Medics", "Army of Two","Rogue Traders" ,"Special Patrol Group", "VI" and many lone wolves.
• On going tournaments and events to win in-game rewards or gold to buy equipment or supplies - earn the dough and reap the rewards!
• Trader events such as flash sales and treasure hunts!
   

Following a recent server relaunch (we moved server host, changed maps and even mod version!) and subsequence success, we're looking to further improve our server's population and are inviting players to come check us out! It's relatively "bambi" and noob friendly (no guarantees though!!!) and there are no massively over powered teams punishing new players the second they set foot on the coast! Our regular players are divided between several small teams called  crews where clan membership NOT necessary to join! This means there isn't a single large group of players hoarding all the best vehicles and weapons!

That said, our "GoldFish Bowl" Chernarus server is still a dangerous place with AI and human bandits on almost every hillside, in every city and around every corner! We’re already seeing a lot of casualties though treachery, deception and damn right piracy! Precious metals are just that - precious and people will do just about anything to get their hands on some quick and easy currency!

Crews

We encourage players to join one of the many ROLE PLAY teams already established on the server or to form their own. We have already seen various teams and crews established and invite organised teams, crews and PMCs to attend regular events and tournaments. To promote organised team play we have provided "bare bone" base templates (compunds, fortress structures) for groups to find, secure  and build around to produce their own team camp or base. There are many structures added in ideal locations, that have the potential to provide a fantastic team base if properly secured and maintained!

There are already lots of teams sprouting up with their own goals and objectives. Team include;

- The Firm (A Mafia inspired team intent of making Gold from the players on the server by offering contract hits, protection, hard to obtain gear and much more!)

- The Assoicates From Detroit ( A second organised crime crew that are highly invvoled in car crime, robbery, illigal trading and contract killings)
- The White Snakes ( A medical/Hero group offering medical and transport support for all players on the server.

- Rogue Traders ( A trading group specialising in the sale and provision of various "hard to source" goods!)
- Special Patrol Group (Paramilitary group, specialising in raids and banditry)
- Army of Two (Dangerous duo of bandits!)
- Chernarus Z Bus (Transportation and Logistical group who specialise in armoured escorts and transport)
- DIG (External clan who do a bit of everything!)
- Second Mass PD (law enforcement marshalls)

5:PROTECTION

We run a protection racket, for a modest quantity of gold we wont kill you and leave your chopped up corpse in a orange box...... better still for substantial quantity of gold we can leave your PMC alone.

While The Firm may be a ruthless organisation we realise to do business with people you need to honour the deals you make with them or you wont be in business long. If we make a deal with you we will honour it and likewise if you make a deal with us you better hold to your end of the bargain, we are not people to double cross.

This week we are promoting camp building with a sale on at all traders for base building materials. Also some map edits have been made to create some templates for secure bases. Find the bare bone structures added and build your base around them how you want it! Secure your bases with gates, locked vehicles and fortification structures all available and craft-able in game!

We play on this server.

we are one of several teams that play there to a role play theme. We call ourselves The Firm and play the game in a mafioso style. we rob, we murder, we run a protection racket, we do a bit of loan sharking and generally operate in a underhanded way. Its great fun playing as the server bad guys although it means everyone is always after killing us but we enjoy it.

 

there are several teams there, SPG which are a large military type group, the rogue traders and medics which are small groups and the associates who are bad guys like us.

Its great fun and the RP teams really add to the game.

 

As more teams come on there it gets better so sort yourself a team out and come along or just try it lone wolf, you wont be disappointed.

yer its nice to see new players and new teams.

 

The teams work great because you have genuine competition on the server between the big groups and they are to busy fighting over territory between themselves to agro the loan wolfs and newbies on the coast.

 

It allows large groups to build bases and have large group battles but leaves room for the little teams and loan wolves to get on and do there thing.

 

There was a big battle between the Special patrol group and the associates from detroit last night on the server was fun hanging round the edges watching it go down.

The associates got there base raided and lost all the top vehicles so us in the firm will be loaning them some gold and raking in the interest............. cant beat a bit of loan sharking can you lol

beena  quiet week with a few players rage quitting, a good number on holiday and many of our own memebrs palying ARMA 3/war thunder/other titles so looking for soem new fresh players to coem and joina  good and stable server!
