mzltv 2281 Posted August 16, 2013 Well i do know that the standard locomotion mode on long distances for humans isn't running, but walking. Unless you're doing a marathon, but who can claim that in this forum.I can? I run marathon distances quite regularly, and at (pretty much) a professional level. Here's proof - me after a recent long distance run, with my wife and daughter:-
BlackDalia 95 Posted August 16, 2013 If I truly wanted serious, I wouldn't play a video game on a computer over the internet would I? That by definition is far from seriousness. As for COD, Stamina does matter because your guy stops running after 15 seconds from what I can only perceive as exhaustion. But why are you trying to compare COD to DayZ in any way shape or form? As far as I'm concerned bunny hopping to evade bad aimers, dolphin diving vast distances and sprint jumping like an Olympian is fun, not realistic. Realism can suck my testicles for all I care, as I previously said. Realism gets in the way of fun. End of. But dayz is ment to lean more towards realism...If you think that its NOT fun then your going to hate where dayz is going where you have to be dealing with numerous types of infections and wounds and even diet in the long term. If you dont like realism I would stick with your cods and what not, because from what I have read the standalone is going to apply it pretty thick.
rpatto92@hotmail.com 26 Posted August 17, 2013 I don't think they should slow anything down; overall but I think moving at different pace's should have a greater affect on players and zombies. For instance zombies should decay and get slower running should increase their decay rate and their stats should be tracked and updated by the server individually. Also the pace of player should have an overall affect on healthiness and how much the player needs to consume.
thisisPyro 9 Posted August 17, 2013 This game is already jokingly referred to as "dayz running simulator", don't make it "dayz the slow motion running simulator". I can give up the realism for balance purposes.
