Can't play DayZ

We're having the same issue with my girlfriend's computer. We've been playing fine for months, now all of a sudden tonight DayZ commander says Arma 2 is not found (out of date), When we try to update it says we have a newer version. We tried everything.

You do know that commander worked through gamespy, and this past monday they shut down. dayz commander does not work anymore, you'll need to go through steam to play.

Well this post is like 1 year old so...Gamespy was working back then.

I reinstalled windows and it magically started working if anybody is having the similar issue I've tested this one 2 computers [both had same problem] and it's all about the windows. I'm not sure what's the exact problem and it's not related to certain windows editions so if DayZCommander starts working and you get the same issue tell them that.
