GPU Overheating?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have a questions. I can play Dayz for hours but about 2-3 hours into it I start getting really bad lag out of no where I have no idea here it comes from. All of a sudden I'm playing find and it just freezes and skips like a badly scratched DvD. Now I think its my GPU overheating I'm not sure, It stays at about 45 c and when I play it tops at 55c.If you have any input or want to know something please post a responds I will get back to you for the answer.

where are you taking the temps from and with what ? I get high temps on my motherboard after about 4 hours if the house is warm. that effects my frames even though the gpu temps are normal.

check your temps all over if you have the software and hardware for it. as a temporary fix use an ice pack covered in a tea towel 1 inch in front of your main intake.. make sure all residue is wiped off so there is no moisture..

I do this if im doing a long gaming session and average temps go down by 6/7 degrees.

Meh 55 celcius is fine... Your gpu might just be insanely throttling because maybe it thinks that its max temp is 55 celcius... And if thats the case i am of no help.
