Recoders 0 Posted July 1, 2013 I got Dayz Yesterday and i'm constantly spawning beside the same town which i assume is cherno, grab some loot meet one player and even though i'm unarmed he shoots me. Respawn, happens again, does nobody give you a chance in this game? And damn what do you even do after you're finished looting a town. novogeek 253 Posted July 1, 2013 Try a different server ... I had a similar problem when I started ... I eventually watched some YouTube videos to get a better understanding and then played again. DeathBySausage 5 Posted July 1, 2013 Yes on a basic server finding supplies and roaming around is about it although in doing so you can have some amazingly fun adventures (close zombie calls or player interaction) I would also urge you to find someone you can play with as yhe game is much more fun imo when played with at least a partner.Also you can consider other mods like epoch or origins which offer things like base building and economy for trade with npcs. Gking19 22 Posted July 1, 2013 I'd say just go in, get out as quick as possible, and then once you have the means for survival, go north. The constant deaths are just another part of DayZ, hopefully SA will fix it.As for how you play DayZ, it's entirely up to you. I mainly use it to just waste time since it's summer vacation right now. Also, the thrill of gun fights, not just shot from 600 M away, is a fun part. I remember one time, I was at the NW airfield, and there were these two guys trying to snipe me with a revolver. (I was a good 200 M away.) I moved in closer with my assault rifle, to try and get them, but the revolver won out in the end when they broke my legs and killed me.
