Recommended Posts

So I swichted to my smaller monitor due to my crappy GPU. I tried starting up DayZ from DayZ commander and it won't start, I get a black screen for a second and then it just won't show ARMA/ DayZ at all I am not getting any Error, it starts up just down't load an Image.

perhaps your previous settings were configured for high resolution that your monitor can't handle.

in your arma directory ( \Documents\ArmA2 dir) there are 2 files with resolution settings:

ArmA2OA.cfg and ArmA2.cfg

Open them with a text editor, and set

Resolution_W=

And

Resolution_H=

to a lower resolution: for example W=1280 and H=720, and then save them.

Now try to open arma/dayz. If it works now, you can experiment with higher resolution in your video settings.

If it still doesn't work, try to delete that whole arma2 directory in your documents. ( first make a backup!) And then open arma.

good luck
