No sound when I start typing in chat

I have the Steam version of ArmA II. I'm running the version 103718 of ArmA II and version 1.7.7.1 of DayZ. I use DayZ commander to launch the game.

The problem is, when I press '/' to type something in sidechat or press 'caps lock' to voice chat, my in-game sound completely disappears. The only way to get my

sound back is to restart the game and rejoin the server. This problem occurs in any server I've been in so far.

PC Specs:

ASRock 970 Extreme3

AMD FX-6300 @ 3,5gHz

XFX Radeon HD6870 1GB

8GB Corsair Vengeance RAM @ 1600mHz

OCZ ZS Series 750W PSU

Logitech G430 Gaming Headset

I've looked everywhere for someone with a similar problem and solution but without result. Does anyone here know how to fix this problem?

EDIT: The problem occurs when I start the game via DayZ commander and also when I start the game normally via Steam. My sound also stops working when I go into the options menu...
