Dayz on steam

I loaded the steam version of dayz and it asked me to load just the mod or the bata patch,I did not load with the beta patch and then all the servers had a X next to them and would not load,or have a ! next to them that will start loading but not work.

so am I suppose to load the beta patch?

Yes, you will need the beta patch to play.

Yep, you have to use the beta patch. Don't know why you have to but it won't let you join any servers if you don't.

use dayZcommander, go into settings, then 'launch using steam' and 'replace files with beta so dayZ works'. then run it through commander. then you'll be able to play it through steam :)
