Saving vehicles

Hey!

I have established myself in a heavily crowded server, built a base and stashed 3 vehicles there. However, i'm unsure about the *Save 'Vehicle name'* option. What exactly does it save? The location? Gear inside? Binds the vehicle to me? How often do I have to use the save option?

I'm mostly concerned, because one of my vehicles just disappeared. I don't think it was stolen, because the tents full of goodies were untouched. I think the vehicle just respawned after a reset. I'm afraid that it will happen to my more valuable vehicles.

Just basically elaborate me about the option :>

Saves the position of the vehicle. Do it every time you log off.

But I logged off MANY times without saving and they are still there. Why?

It used to be that you had to save the vehicles to lock them in place, then they removed it and it automatically happened. I think they put it back in as a precaution so if you want to be double safe you can save it as well.
