i pretty much founda crash site with a FAL and Bizon

can i only find ammo @ other crash sites?

if so im dropping them for the next good weapon i find like an M107

I checked the DayZ loot sheet and it has no indication of FAL mags anywhere.

So there is either a good chance that it will drop for you when you trigger loot approaching barracks/hangers or it only spawns at crash sites from other FAL drops.

When I found a crach site I was lucky enough to find a M14 AIM which uses DMG ammo.

i dont see the point if you cant get ammo from any place other than the crash sites, thats too difficult and weighs against their use since you will run out..

FAlsucks M14 is best imo same power and accuracy as a sniper very common ammo and can be used in cqb.

Me either mate. But such is the game, they'll probably give a bit more loving to the 1%'er weapons in the future I'm sure.

I reckon placing a 1%'er guarentee ammo drop on NEA would cause the majority of the airfields to be conflict areas. Even placing NVGs up there would allow all of that NE sector to be conflicted more. As it stands it's quite quiet in that sector.

This is why rare weapons are overrated. Ordinary weapons are lethal enough and are much more practical because ammo is so common for them.

it really depends on which FN FAL you find - there are 2 both of which spawn at the helicopters

one is a scope less and generally pointless gun (while it is powerful the ammo rarity makes it worthless)

the second is the FN FAL ANPV S4 which is worth its weight in gold - why? it has a night vision scope...

I managed to find the scoped FN from a crash yesterday along with 2 clips

as far as I know you can find FN FAL ammo in Barracks (swear I saw some a few patches ago)
