Consolidated Community Survival Guide: Vol 1

Welcome to the CCSG: Volume 1 (Consolidated Community Survival Guide).

If you were to wake up on a breach in Chernarus after drinking all the whiskey in land and found yourself in a zombie uprising this would be the one reference you would need to survive.

n.b.

Vol 1 is not indicating an intention to release more Volumes...this is merely the first attempt (i think) to bring a lot of information together and i'm not sure how it's going to go!

Mission Statement

This guide is the communities guide....

So much good information is lost in an aether of overwhelming content. Based on community input this guide is going to demonstrate the best the community has to offer in advice from statics, guides, gameplay and theory. It is my hope that every aspect of DayZ will one day be covered. If you think of it or do it in DayZ this guide wants it covered.

This is a work in progress. It will be rough to start but once fleshed I hope it will serve all manner of players. Your help is not just needed it is required!

Post #2) General Information: Information about anything in DayZ. From loot to boring statistics.

Post #3) Survival Gameplay: From basic controls to survival. For example: walking, to boiling water to driving). The important distinction between section #2 and #3/4 is: Section #2 will contain raw information about woodpiles and matches whereas Section #3 would discuss how to make a fireplace

Post #4) PvE and PvP Gameplay: From killing zombies to killing bambis. Here is what you need to know.

Post #5) Reserved: Updates for now, tidying up or anything unexpected later on.

Post # Your input: You are the most important part. There is simply too much information for an individual to have a firm grasp on. We all have a say in this guide but for the purposes of keeping it neat and concise not every suggestions might be added. If a particular suggestion is not immediately added PLEASE discuss it your posts, this thread will be a great place for discussion of gameplay and theory.

Looking for a wide range suggestions from:

* how to layout the guide in user friendly manner

* links to relevant information.

* suggestions for what content specific sections you want covered

I would like firmly say I am not seeking credit where it is not due. Each individuals work will be fully cited with direct reference to them, so we can fully see their contribution to DayZ and let them claim their much owed dues.

Wow...so much time wasted! Whenever i click edit it removes all the media links :( took me a while to figure out. Just having to copy paste from Word. I'm spent...please leave suggestions for content. Tommorrow i'm going to fill in any blanks that I left as 'coming soon'.

So after several hours this is getting fleshed and i'm happy! It should give you a good idea of where it's going. Please post good tutorials and i will add them, try to cover aspects not covered! If you have suggestions for a better layout I'm listening. Vehicles have been neglected for now, all will be covered.

Question:

what else what you like to see in general informaiton? bit stumped for what else to add
