The DayZ Part.

The group does play DayZ, and that is why I've decided to post this rather organized thread here, instead of keeping it to the Armaholic website. I hope you will all atleast check it out, and if you can't catch anyone on the TS, due to our high command being busy, visit the website, and fill out the little recruitment page(takes 1 minute, if not less). DayZ is NOT our main target, though. The server mainly plays realism missions in i44(WW2) and Modern.

42 Commando Royal Marines (pronounced: "Four Two Commando") is a battalion sized formation of the British Royal Marines and a subordinate unit within 3 Commando Brigade, the principal Commando formation, under the Operational Command of Commander in Chief Fleet.

Tasked as a Commando light infantry unit, 42 Cdo RM is capable of a wide range of operational tasks. Based at Bickleigh Barracks near Plymouth, personnel regularly deploy outside the United Kingdom on operations or training. Whilst 3 Commando Brigade RM are the principal cold weather warfare formation, personnel are capable of operating in a variety of theatres including tropical jungle, desert or mountainous terrain.

All personnel will have completed the Commando course at the Commando Training Centre(CTCRM) at Lympstone in Devon, entitling them to wear the green beret, with attached personnel having completed the All Arms Commando Course.

Who are we?

So, that'll be a short introduction to what 42 Commando is. It doens't really tell much about the actual unit, though. We're a group of mixed up aged people. We've got people from the army, and people who just play Arma for the experience.. Wait, don't we all? That's exactly what we thought that some people actually forget. That's why we've taken the Realism Unit part to a different level. We've decided to have a line between playing and enjoying the experience out of the game. We've witnessed way too many units taking this realism part too serious. There's part were people just wish to chill out and teamspeak, and yet, they almost need permission to do stuff. We've found this line, and believe it is highly important.

We're currently open on a lot of different spots, and we do our best to find a perfect position for you, within our squad. There's plenty of slots open, and we do need YOU! to fill out our sections with decent players and mature people.
