Optimal graphical settings for breaking point?

Recommended Posts

a lots of bullshit in this guide... good stuff too but:

why AA off or high??? Thats stupid....whats about low or medium?

why shadows off or high? why not low... to have shadows with less performanceuse?

Who wrote this bullshit?

Aspect Ratio: leave alone (mine says Custom)

wtf??? Does he have no glue what Aspect Ratio means? If yes.... then the guy should no more ever talk about grapic settings.

Because putting AA and shadows on low or normal puts the load on your CPU instead of your GPU, which is a bad thing for most people.

AA causes the same frame rate drop at Low as it does at High, so you if you can live with the drop, you might as well run AA at the High setting to get the best looking game.

There's a similar argument for Shadows as enabling them at any set gives the same FPS drop. Additionally, Shadows are very blocky and unnatural (to my eyes anyway) at Low and Medium settings.

Everyone gots an i5 or i7 but only a few got 680s or 7970s.

I bet the most ppl got better cpus as gpus. Every child gots an i5 or i7 but only a few ppl have gtx680s or HD7970s. Whatever.. it is better to give your cpu a little bit more load as to give your gpu much more load.

Thats not true ..... i have much better frames at low AA as with high AA... especialy at places with lots of objects. And thats the problem. Most of you guys standing in the Forest where like no objects effectet by aa and then think "ohhh low is the same as high"....

Everything on high, post processing off, AA low plus FSAA on super sharp, looks the business.

The normal AA does not have an effect on vegetation, fences or everything with transparent texture parts.

AA will take a massive hit on your performance, and it's really not a significant difference.

Same goes for post-processing. Personally, I HATE the blur effect of post-processing. It too can also take quite a significant hit on your overall performance.

If you have ATOC enabled I think you'll find it does.

ROFL, people actually need guides to adjust settings?
