tomgilfoyle@hotmail.com 0 Posted June 25, 2013 I bought the retailed version of Arma 2: Combined Operations and have been playing Dayz for almost a year now. I like to play on a private hive called Dayzrp which is its own mod in a way. Anyway i have been playing that for about a month and my cousin started playing it. He stayed over on the weekend and wanted to play on DayzRP on his account and thought that because he had bought Arma 2 and Operation Arrowhead through steam he would be able to. He downloaded it and instead of it playing on his account it wrecked my Dayz and all my files and stuff completely. After i tinkered with the files and such i was able to play but instead of playing on my character it played on his even after i deleted the steam files. Now after further tinkering i cant launch Arma 2 but i can launch Combined operations, however when i do i get this main menu and cant do nothing. Also the loading screen is different as i have never had this before. spinager 152 Posted June 25, 2013 Re-install Arma is the only answer imo.
tomgilfoyle@hotmail.com 0 Posted June 25, 2013 I tried that but the site where i got it from only lets me download it once for some reason. I click download and it downloads a installer called sprocket. When i try to run that it tells me that i have already installed it or i have already downloaded it or something. TacticalN29 89 Posted June 26, 2013 By retail I assume you mean a physical boxed copy?
Skat3rat 1633 Posted June 26, 2013 Hmm well it is possible that there is a file lingering around somewhere on your computer that is keeping your cousin's data and information. There are a lot more files involved in Arma than just Arma named files.Have you tried changing your Regedit for Arma 2? It is required for when you purchase a new copy of Arma CO.
