Tries to connect to server, goes to main menu instead.

Recommended Posts

Hello, whenever I try to connect to a server the game launches up and then a bunch of data flies onto the screen like a player list and a motd for the server. but before I can really comprehend what is going on it cuts straight to the main menu. I am using dayz commander to launch the game and I have made sure that everything I have is up to date. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this it would be greatly appreciated.

Is it only a specific sever? If so then it's an issue with the sever. Also make sure your arma 2 beta patch is up to date.

No it is with every server. I updated the patch using dayz commander and it says it is now up to date.

Quick update: After doing some digging and trying to reinstall certain things it turns out I had two problems. One is that my hard drive was a bit jumbled up and would blue screen occasionally when I launched arma. dong a sfc /scannow fixed that issue and I reinstalled arma 2 and arrowhead to be on the safe side. the second thing is that when I am installing the beta patch I get the wrong cd key error. which the solution is to reinstall arma 2 and arrowhead...which I just did and I still have that error. I guess that is the main problem I am having right now.

Weird way to end this thead but doing some google searching led me to delete the beta folder and try to install again. with no luck I try to launch the beta launcher in the arrowhead folder hoping something would click. I then try to join a dayz server and boom! It works. Thank you to everyone who gave there input into my situation.
