Hello, my name is Josh. Last February I started a server known as Ceasefire based on a friendly no PVP community. Yes before you ask "What is the point in no pvp" we like to say don't knock it till you try it. Of course the experience it's self will be not as you usually find DayZ to be but here at Ceasefire we try to offer a new experience. Within this community we strive on being a "community" in which unites against the zombie apocalypse where players team together to fight the horde. Now your wondering how is this no pvp achieved. Well the increased difficulty of zombies for a start makes you rely on your friends more. Deadly AI who are worse then any bandit you ever came across. Not to mention the in game missions we have scripted as well has admin hosted events. through these simple changes we seen players go out of their way to help another despite the risks, small groups forming into active clans on the server. With our features we offer something different.

  • Hosting up to four servers
  • Including Epoch
  • Ability to Donate for Special Bonuses
  • 300 Vehicles to loot
  • Increased zombie difficulty

  • AI patrols with increased difficulty

Along with a friend, we are constantly looking for servers where to struggle against AI instead of KoS players. So we'll try it out.

I read the rules, and i don't like this thing in particular: If your vehicle is taken away, even if it's hidden and with gear while you are disconnected, then you lose it.

I know it's your server, so...your rules. No complaints there. But i don't think you should penalize a player for having a life. No one (at least no one with a right mind) can stay online constantly. Also, i may not want to create a base. I may just be a wanderer, with a bike (for example).

If this could be somehow changed, it would be great.

My suggestion would be something like:

* If a vehicle is unatendded for X days in a row, then it will respawn. Gear or no gear.

* If a vehicle "looks" to be hidden and it has 5 or more items in gear, it cannot be taken away.

At least, as a ruling. Obviously every player will do what he/she deems fit, but i believe it can be a workaround to risk losing your hidden vehicle while you are at work.

Again, not trying to be disrespectful. Your server, your rules. Just giving my opinion/suggestion.

I'll be trying it out nevertheless today or tomorrow. See you there!

I don't believe we take vehicles away from players however if you see this issue constantly we shall look into this.

I was not saying YOU. I wrote that due to what i read and understood on your rules. I apologize if it may have sound...angry or bad. It wasn't my intention. I was merely saying an opinion regarding your server' rules ;)

I'm starting today, so let's see how good it is ;)
