everytime i get to waiting for server to start authentication it just sits there for forever im on updated version of arma 2 as well as dayz 1.7.7 anybody know how to fix this

Are you trying to join 1.7.7 servers? There's a new patch out 1.7.7.1, so that may be your problem.
