I LOVE DayZ...........But....

This last patch is very frustrating. I had fat loot, been alive for 19 days, and then suddenly, I logged into a server and died instantly.

After a short moment of raging, I gathered my composure, and said to myself that starting again would be fun since I would have to gather my needs.

Needless to say, THIS HAS BEEN THE MOST FRUSTRATING couple hours of my DayZ career. I have tried several times to aquire anything in the city without agroing zombies in the night, and its truely frustrating. I dont want to have to prone absolutely everywhere, and so I try to crouch run / walk, and some zombie comes over to put it in my butt.

Anyway, I get chased by one zombie, and its over. I have no means to defend myself in the beginning, I cant crouch run because the single zombie will be fast enough to damage me, and if I fully run, I agro the entire city.

Now I know I am going to get some young kid telling me that I suck, or I dont know how to play the game, but I believe if you join a server that is in the dark, with a brand new character, you will see my frustration.

Note : I understand the game is still ALPHA. I think Rocket and the team is doing a great job, but I would like to suggest that this new mechanic be tweaked, rolled back, or at least give the starting player the noob pistol with at least a clip.

Did it, found sick loot and fixed a vehicle. Not going to call you names or say you suck though because Rocket made me feel bad about doing that so much...

A think a lot of people head straight to the city to get loot when they spawn, and thats why they agro zombies all the time? Maybe try some barns or buildings that aren't in a city to find a weapon/morphine etc and then head to the city for better gear.

Your concerns are valid but you shouldn't be so attached to your stuff. Death is always close by and you'll probably lose all your stuff in other patches as well. Alpha to Beta full player resets aren't uncommon even if you expected to never die.

Look, did it ever occur to you guys (by that I mean the forum in general) that Rocket has just been dying to crank up the difficulty and then just observe what happens? People are reacting as if the current settings are set in stone. To be honest I preferred it better before the changes, but until ROCKET decides where to leave the stealth settings we will just have to wait and see. That is all we get in the matter.
