Multiple Issues

[Evutude (DayZ) 1]

Re-installing the game right now off of Steam. I can not play any multiplayer server on DayZ due to an 'Invalid CD Key' message I get each time. Another thing when I try accessing the game is "Addon 'dayz_anim' requires addon 'CAMisc_fix'". I have tried re-installing the game multiple times with no results. I have yet to contact Bohemia yet hoping that I could find a solution to my problem before I have to do that. Considering I spent several hundred dollars on a new comp just so I could run this game at its fullest, it would really suck if I couldn't play it. Any way someone could help?

yup, uh huh.... i c, HA have you tried verifying the system game cache inside your steams library?

Open steam

Right click arma 2

Select properties

Go to Local File tab

Select Verify System Game Cache.

Do this to every single arma 2 game in your library, one you have done all of that.

Launch every arma 2 game in this order. Arma 2/ Arma 2 OA/ Arma 2 British ArmedForces/ Arma 2 Private Military Company Launch every one of them to the main menu, exit out of game and repeat till all games have been launched from steams library to the main menu. after you do that, you download/install DAYZ commander. reinstall your dayz, and update the patches for arma 2 and dayz, once you have done all of that then come back here

In the process of doing that at the moment. I'm gonna feel realllllly dumb if that's all that it was. I'm not really computer savy.

Done but I went to where the folder for DayZ was and it wasn't in the correct area so I moved it into the OA folder aaaand now DayZComamnder isn't registering that it exists.

Fixed. But I'm back to the same error. Steam did fail to verify one file though :/

I had the same problem with the missing files but i just deleted it and it worked

when you deleted it, steam/arma must have reacquired it thus implying that the file was corrupted, a simple system verify game cache would fix that issue.

Yeah. so it worked but that as like 10 months ago xD
