Direct Chat not working in some servers

What happened:

I can not communicate via VOIP or Text when using the direct chat on some servers. One of these is US68

Where you were:

In elektro helping some guys in a team gather supplies at a store

What you were doing:

Trying multiple times to communicate with them via direct chat.

It's likely you were in a server that hosted the beta but did not require it. Thus they could have been running without the beta and thus direct chat did not function for them.

What is more likely is that the server isn't running the beta patch.

Find another server that does. Try looking at the server names.

I was using the beta patch, and so was the server. the newest beta patch. There has been an update, I am using 1.7.1.5 and apparently this is a common problem

The servers I have tried it on are all up to date on the beta patch as well as the Day z version.

I can confirm this.

I tried with a teammate on fr10 (1.7.1.5, yesterday), he was standing next to me, and wasn't

able to read me via direct chat (And bafore that, I killed 3 guys who wasn't answering after I asked "friendly?" on the direct chat too...)
